However, it's often pointed out that the burden of saving everyone is too much for even the greatest Shepherds, leading to some of them turning into Hellions. Sorey even states his desire for humans and Seraphim to live together. Once he becomes the Shepherd and gains the power to purify Hellions it's clear he wants to use it to save them. Even when someone starts off an enemy, he will do everything in his power to help them or save them. Sorey is very friendly and helpful, to the point of inviting Alisha, who didn't tell him her name at first, into his own home to rest - all because, in his own words, he can't leave someone in need alone. The cape, fashioned after the style of past Shepherds, was given to him by Alisha Diphda as thanks for helping her.
